What sort of questions should I ask my Orthodontist?

I’m 26, I’m seeing the Orthodontist for the time in my life for consult on getting braces.

Are there any "must ask" questions from your experience or any other advice you might have?

I’ve just had to deal with crooked teeth or any other of dental ps before. I’m on my own, so this is all new to me.

None of my friends kw what to ask either.

    your orthodontist might answer these questions anyway, but I think the most important ones are:
    -do I really need braces/ what are the implications if I don’t get braces?
    -how long will I have them on, and will I need retainers, etc after that?

    …I think those are the only really important ones…but you can also ask about the different types of braces, like the invisible ones vs. regular ones…
